Like humans the dhampir are born. Some may ask, “Can they be a human who is partly turned?” The answer to this is, “No. The dhampir is unable to turn a human into another dhampir because they do not possess the proper amount of vampire to be able to turn a human.”
The dhampir are usually seen as ‘sickly’ due to their obvious lack of weight. The female dhampir is usually between 95lbs and 115lbs. The male can range in weight from 110lbs to 150lbs. As with humans and vampires the male is typically taller and heavier than the female. But don’t make the mistake of thinking that the female is weaker than the male. No matter what color the skin of the dhampir they will appear to be paler than normal humans. The eyes of the dhampir are usually light in color and the inner corners of the eyes can become bloodshot at sun down and sun rise. The aging process is also much slower than a human. For example: If a female dhampir of 33 years were to stand between a human girl of 15 and a woman of 33 she would be more close in look to the 15 year old girl than the 33 year old woman. The fangs of the dhampir are longer than the K9‘s of humans yet shorter than the vampire.
The dhampir’s abilities vary from one to another but most have heightened speed, agility, and strength. The lifespan of the dhampir also varies from one to the next. If left to live their full lives the dhampir can live up to 200 years at least. Despite popular belief the vampire half of the dhampir is more of an energy feeder than blood feeder.
Some ancient societies secretly believed that the Mayan god Camazotz was a dhampir who had gain so much power that he ascended into the heavens as a god.
The dhampir is capable of having children by either humans or vampires, given the fact that they are both. The typical pregnancy of the dhampir is the same as it is for a human with the only difference is when labor does start it goes very quickly. So, if you are dhampir and pregnant, when you feel the labor pains don’t wait for the contractions to get closer together just go to the hospital. My first was 12 hours, my second was 4 hours 25 minutes, my third was 1 hour. This is how I know. The dhampir do heal more quickly than humans after birth with almost no signs of ever being pregnant. Some of you may ask, “Can the dhampir have twins or triplets?” Sadly the answer to this question is, “No, not according to my research thus far.” Should more definitive information come to light I shall update this information.
Due to the fact that the dhampir closely resembles humans they are able to pass as one. In the 1800‘s the dhampir would be abandoned by it’s mother outside of town and she would never speak of the child. Some of these infants were found by kind hearted people who raised them never knowing about their abilities. These children can become very aggressive if provoked. They also tend to try to get as much done in as short a time as possible. The only real known weakness of the dhampir is the thirst. We are learners by nature with very high IQ’s.
Like humans there are good dhampir, who stand between humans and vampires, and there are bad dhampir, these are the ones who will hunt for the vampires by day. Even though a dhampir can not turn a human that doesn’t mean they can not be turned by a vampire. The only difference here is the time it would take.
